LARSON MARKS RACING HEADS BACK TO THE MIDWEST FOR TWO NIGHTS OF RACING

DOUBLEHEADER WEEKEND: After a quick trip across the border, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is back in the states for two nights of racing in the Midwest. Larson Marks Racing and Shane Stewart head to Hartford (Mich.) Speedway on Friday followed up with Wilmot (Wisc.) Raceway on Saturday.

HARTFORD WINNER: Last year, Larson Marks Racing opened the night by qualifying 10th, before Stewart advanced two positions in his heat race to earn a spot in the Craftsman Club Dash. In the dash, the Bixby, Okla., native earned the second starting spot for the main event. Stewart took the lead from the drop of the green flag and extended it in lapped traffic until the caution came out with eight laps remaining. He was able to get the jump on the final restart and maintained the lead in the closing laps to earn the victory.

LAST YEAR AT WILMOT: In Larson Marks Racing's first visit to Wilmot Raceway, Stewart timed in ninth quickest and finished third in the first heat race of the night, locking himself into the 40-lap feature event. Stewart took the green flag for the main event from the ninth position and raced as high as fifth before finishing in sixth place.

NORTH OF THE BORDER: On Tuesday, the Larson Marks Racing team headed across the northern border to compete at Ohsweken Speedway in Oshweken, Ontario, Canada for the Six Nations Showdown. Stewart was the fastest qualifier in Flight B of time trials and finished third in his heat race. He started 10th in the 30-lap main event, but the LMR No. 2 lacked grip on the high-banked 3/8-mile circuit resulting in a 15th-place finish.

LARSON MARKS RACING OWNERS: Larson Marks Racing is co-owned by NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series (NMECS) driver Kyle Larson and driver/entrepreneur Justin Marks. Marks also owns GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, N.C. Larson will be at Pocono Raceway this weekend to compete in the NMECS race.

LARSON MARKS RACING TEAM: The Larson Marks Racing team is led by crew chief Lee Stauffer of York, Penn., with Heath Moyle of Middleburg, Penn., and Dennis Christ of Fredericksburg, Penn.

LOOKING AHEAD: Following Saturday night's race at Wilmot Raceway, Larson Marks Racing will be back on track Friday, August 4 at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., for the Prelude to the Ironman 55.
