LARSON MARKS RACING KICKS OFF THE BUSIEST STRETCH OF THE SEASON WITH THE SERIES LONGEST RACE

TRIPLE-HEADER WEEKEND: The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series heads into the busiest stretch of the season starting this weekend with three races on tap.  Larson Marks Racing will continue the Month of Money at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 Friday and Saturday for the Night Before the Ironman and the Ironman 55. After Saturday's event, the team will make the six-hour drive to Knoxville, Iowa to defend the Capitani Classic at Knoxville Raceway.

IT TAKES AN IRONMAN: Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 is a high-banked, third-mile circuit with cars turning 10-second lap times. With the extended laps for the feature, Saturday's Ironman 55 is the World of Outlaws longest, toughest race of the season.

FORMER IRONMAN: In 2015, Shane Stewart earned the Ironman title after charging to a runner-up on Friday. He qualified eighth before winning his heat race. Stewart secured the third-starting position for the 55-lap feature in the dash. During the first half of the longest race of the season, he maintained a top-five spot. With 21 laps remaining, the pilot of the LMR No. 2 charged to the runner-up position and set his sights on the leader. The caution was displayed on Lap 44 and crews were able to make adjustments to the No. 2 sprint car. On the ensuing restart, Stewart darted to the bottom and gave the leader a slide job to take over the top spot. He survived one more restart to earn the victory.

TWO-TIME AND DEFENDING WINNER: On Sunday, Larson Marks Racing heads to Stewart's most successful track on the circuit. The Bixby, Okla., native has claimed the top spot in the last two Capitani Classics. In 2015, Stewart started sixth on the grid for the main event and immediately moved inside the top three. After keeping the leaders in sight, Stewart executed a pair of slide jobs and took the lead on Lap 22 to capture the win. Last year, he started on the outside of the front row and took the initial lead before the caution was displayed with no lap complete. After the following restart, Stewart took the lead on Lap 3 and never looked back to earn his second Capitani Classic victory in as many races.

LARSON MARKS RACING OWNERS: Larson Marks Racing is co-owned by NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series (NMECS) driver Kyle Larson and driver/entrepreneur Justin Marks. Marks also owns GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, N.C. Larson will be at Watkins Glen International this weekend to compete in the NMECS and NASCAR Xfinity races.

LARSON MARKS RACING TEAM: The Larson Marks Racing team is led by crew chief Lee Stauffer of York, Penn., with Heath Moyle of Middleburg, Penn., and Dennis Christ of Fredericksburg, Penn.

LOOKING AHEAD: Following Sunday night's race at Knoxville Raceway, Larson Marks Racing will be back on track Wednesday, August 9 at Knoxville Raceway for their preliminary night for the Knoxville Nationals.
