LARSON MARKS RACING LOCKED IN CLOSE POINT BATTLE HEADING INTO FULTON SPEEDWAY

NEW YORK RETURN: The Larson Marks Racing team returns to New York this weekend with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. Shane Stewart and the No. 2 team will compete at Fulton (N.Y.) Speedway on Saturday.

FULTON LAST YEAR: In Larson Marks Racing first visit to Fulton Speedway, Stewart qualified 10th and finished third in his heat race. The Bixby, Okla., native started the 30-lap feature from 10th and passed four cars on the opening lap. The first caution of the night came on Lap 2, and Stewart restarted sixth, before advancing to fourth when the field went back to green. Another caution came out just before the halfway mark of the race and he slipped back to fifth on the restart. In the closing laps of the race, Stewart made a couple of runs at the fourth position but ultimately scored a fifth-place finish.

POINTS BATTLE: Stewart is currently in a back and forth points battle with Daryn Pittman for the fourth spot in the World of Outlaws Championship point standings. After last weekend at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Penn., Stewart currently sits fifth in the point standings, 36-markers behind Pittman.

LARSON MARKS RACING OWNERS: Larson Marks Racing is co-owned by NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series (NMECS) driver Kyle Larson and driver/entrepreneur Justin Marks. Larson will be at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend to compete in the fourth NMECS race of the post season and Marks will be competing with the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Series at Road Atlanta for the 20th Annual Petit Le Mans.
